Naperville American Legion sponsors free 2025 Boys and Girls State civic engagement camps

Attendees at the 2024 American Legion Boys State and Girls State enjoy their camp sessions.

Naperville’s American Legion Post 43 invites local students to attend 2025 Illinois Boys and Girls State civic leadership programs completely free of charge.

High school juniors are invited to seize this opportunity for personal growth and civic engagement, as well as a fun and rewarding experience.

Illinois Premier Boys State and Illini Girls State are programs that prepare students to become tomorrow’s leaders.

Through activities such as mock government sessions and civic education workshops, participants gain leadership skills, critical thinking abilities, and a deeper understanding of democracy in action – all in a non-partisan manner.

In addition to being free to attend, these programs offer opportunities to exclusive scholarships.

Students must be current high school juniors, entering their senior year this fall to participate.

Remember to note when registering to list Post 43 Naperville as the sponsoring organization.

The boys state program runs from June 7-13, and the girls state program is June 15-21.
