Join Holy Week and Easter services at Bartlett’s Living Lord Lutheran Church

Living Lord Lutheran Church, 1044 Congress Drive in Bartlett, invites the community to join the congregation for Holy Week and Easter services open to all.

Holy Week begins with Palm Sunday April 13, with services including the Procession of the Palms, marking the triumphal entry of Jesus Christ into Jerusalem, followed by a dramatic reading of the Passion of our Lord, at both the 9 a.m. traditional service and the 10:30 a.m. contemporary service.

Maundy Thursday worship, April 17, at 7 p.m. commemorates the Last Supper of Christ and includes the celebration of First Communion for young students. Good Friday worship, April 18, at 7 p.m. is called the Tenebrae service, or Service of Darkness, to remember Christ’s crucifixion and death.

Holy Week comes to a close on Easter Sunday, April 20, with the joyous Festival of the Resurrection celebrated at two services: 9 a.m. traditional worship with choral voices and celebratory trumpets, followed by the 10:30 a.m. contemporary service featuring a live praise band.
