Let the Bears go
Common sense and realistic thinking would seem to indicate that the Bears should stay in Chicago, which needs to work on maintaining its status as a world class city.
Most taxpayers and the governor oppose granting the ultra-frugal McCaskey family the benefit of tax breaks to build a new facility anywhere in the state. For the McCaskeys to approach Illinois taxpayers for yet more money to line their pockets is like rich little kids coming to Daddy asking for more candy yet having straight Fâs on their report cards for several years now.
Arlington Heights officials â properly so â are open for business. Let them develop the racetrack property without the Bears.
