St. Charles Kiwanis Club’s Rose Sale to benefit local organizations

The St. Charles Kiwanis Club's Rose Day fundraiser is Wednesday, April 23. Rose pickup will be 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the back parking lot of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 1145 N. Fifth Ave. in St. Charles.

The day begins as Kiwanians unload a truck full of roses and arrange them by color. Signs mark the direction from Fifth Avenue, and carhops bring the roses directly to the car.

Previous rose recipients have been contacted by club members since early March, but anyone can donate to the club by visiting k05875.site.kiwanis.org/rose-day/.

Roses are available for a donation of $25 to the St. Charles Kiwanis Foundation, and must be prepaid by Friday, April 11. All proceeds will be used to support over 30 local organizations that help area children and families in need.

The St. Charles Kiwanis Club meets every Tuesday at noon at the Baker Memorial United Methodist Church, 307 Cedar Ave. in St. Charles. The club is always seeking service-minded people for its membership. For more information, visit the club's website, k05875.site.kiwanis.org/.
