Des Plaines house hit by gunfire Saturday

A Des Plaines house was struck by gunfire early Saturday, police said.

No one was reported hurt.

The shooting occurred a little after 1 a.m. on the 200 block of Springfield Terrace. Someone driving a dark-colored pickup truck stopped the vehicle, got out and fired multiple shots into the air before driving off, police said in a news release.

Two of the bullets hit the second floor of a two-story house. Police recovered 9 mm shell casings in the roadway.

A description of the shooter wasn’t available.
