What governor should not sit still for

Gov. Pritzker recently stated as quoted in the March 14 edition of the Daily Herald that, “I'm not going to sit still for it” concerning the dismantling of the U.S. Department of Education by the Trump administration. What he shouldn't “sit still” for is the fact that Illinois is ranked 20th in education among the states and that we have an increasing pension fund obligation.

His not-very-well-hidden agenda to go on the national stage is apparent with his constant challenging of the Trump administration. I wish he put as much effort into running the state and solving our fiscal problems.

I have an idea. Why doesn't he post a weekly notice telling the Illinois taxpayers five things he accomplished in the past week that don’t have to do with bashing the Trump administration.
