Meaningful doctrine

Who can fault the idea of Diversity-Equity-Inclusion? What could go wrong? Well, more than two centuries ago, the idea of Liberty-Equality-Fraternity was hoisted as the doctrine of the French Revolution. A revolution that went horribly wrong. The analogy is not exact, but it is sobering. Let us not abandon critical thinking. Winds of doctrine come, and they go. Perhaps the best doctrine that still avails was penned two millennia ago by St. Paul: ““And now remains Faith-Hope-Love. And the greatest of these is Love.”
