Compost giveaway April 12 in Arlington Heights

Arlington Heights is hosting a free compost giveaway event for village residents from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, April 12, at the public works facility, 222 N. Ridge Ave.

Residents should bring their own 5-gallon bucket for compost, and while there they can pick up a home compost bin that can be preordered by calling village hall at (847) 368-5500. The cost is $50.

Tree mulch also will be available on a first come, first serve basis.
