Wheeling home left uninhabitable by fire

A home was left uninhabitable after a fire midday Tuesday in Wheeling, according to a statement.

Firefighters responded to the home on the 0 block of Versailles Court just after 12:30 p.m. and found the building on fire, according to a press release from the Wheeling Fire Department. Nobody was inside the residence after the fire, and crews were able to extinguish the fire. No injuries were reported.

The department was assisted by crews from several neighboring fire departments. The cause of the fire is under investigation, but the home was deemed uninhabitable
