Shameful acts by president, GOP

I truly hope that a peace deal can be negotiated in Ukraine and in Gaza. These wars have gone on far too long. And if Trump does it, I will give him credit.

However, with Trump’s blessing, the richest man in the world is denying help to the most needy people on earth. Money that has been promised and allocated by Congress has been summarily withdrawn. (And people are dying.)

With Trump’s blessing, the vice president lectured Germany on democracy because they weren’t including the extreme right views (Nazi supporters) in the government process. Does he remember World War II? Trump himself says that he wants all the Palestinians deported to other countries kicking them out of their homeland so the U.S. can take it over. (And he feels they should be grateful.) Cancer research, overworked and underfunded National Parks and Head Start programs, etc., all have been greatly negatively affected by funding cuts. Meanwhile, Elon Musk holds onto his lucrative federal contracts.

This is no longer the country I love. Trump’s actions and the GOP sitting by quietly make me ashamed to say I am an American.
