Bio

Office sought: Inverness village board (Vote for 3)

City: Inverness

Age: 63

Occupation: Property Master IATSE Motion Pictures & Television

What is the most serious issue your community will face in the coming years and how should the village board respond to it?

Retaining the beautiful character and safety of our village while keeping taxes very low.

How would you describe the state of your community's finances? What should be the top priorities for spending during the next few years? Are there areas of spending that need to be curtailed?

The taxpayers money is spent on safety via the Inverness Police Department. Finances seem to be doing very well. The roads need to be worked on and they are in the coming season.

What do you see as the most important infrastructure project the community must address? Why and how should it be paid for? Conversely, during these uncertain economic times, what project(s) can be put on the back burner?

Roads and drainage must be kept up in order to avoid massive projects in the future and maintain our quality of life.

Describe your experience working in a group setting to determine policy. What is your style in such a setting to reach an agreement and manage local government? Explain how you think that will be effective in producing effective actions and decisions with your village board.

I treat everyone with respect and listen to all ideas. I fully educate myself prior to meetings so I come from a place of knowledge. I speak my positions clearly and explain why I think what I do on any given issue.

What makes you the best candidate for the job?

I live Inverness since I bought my home in 1987. I have donated thousands of hours since to improve our village and surrounding communities in all ways possible. Way too much to list here.

What’s one good idea you have to better the community that no one is talking about yet?

Bring the residents closer together via a yearly event. We used to be closer and want to get back to that once again.
