Endorsement: Millar for Palatine Village Council District 1
Palatine voters in District 1 will see two candidates vying for two village council seats on their April 1 ballot.
Incumbent Tim Millar is seeking reelection, and he is joined on the ballot by challenger Greg Langer.
Millar, an entrepreneur, has served as a Palatine trustee for 12 years, and he is committed to growing and maintaining a strong commercial base in town. He is currently involved in improvement projects regarding Reimer Reservoir and updating a maintenance facility. Millar has also been involved in previous planning to ensure these projects were funded without tax increases.
Millar is an asset to the board and deserves another term to carry out projects.
Langer, vice president of a programmatic supply company, is new to public office. He would like to use his experience in marketing and business to grow the village’s tax base and keep taxes down. Langer would also like to enhance village services by keeping economic development in town strong. Downtown revitalization and cultural development are important issues for Langer.
While Langer could bring a fresh, new perspective to the council, the experience and understanding Millar offers are assets and vital to Palatine’s future.
Millar is endorsed.
