DuPage Community Concert Band to perform Irish tunes for St. Patrick’s Day

Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with DuPage Community Concert Band’s all-Irish program at 7:30 p.m. Monday, March 17, in Belushi Performance Hall at the McAninch Arts Center at the College of DuPage Glen Ellyn campus, 425 Fawell Blvd. Tickets are $7.

In this festive performance, flutist Morgan Hutchers will feature in Cecile Chaminade’s “Concertino for Flute,” and student conductor Ana Bazant will make her conducting debut, leading the band in Percy Grainger’s “Irish Tune from County Derry.”

Other pieces in the program include Andrew Boysen’s “Kirkpatrick Fanfare,” Steven J. Pyter’s “May the Road Rise to Meet You” and Fergal Carroll’s “Winter Dances.”

One dollar of each ticket sold supports the COD Applied Scholarship Fund to support music students who can’t afford private lessons.
