Not getting things done

Regarding the Feb. 2 piece from Marc Dion titled “Like it or not, something is getting done,” I must take exception to the premise. Something was finally done in the last Congress when both parties came together, with major concessions from the Democrats, to draft legislation, written by a Republican Senator, to finally address our immigration issues by increasing funding to border security, expand immigration courts to reduce wait times from years to months for adjudication and other long sought after solutions from both parties. The GOP speaker never brought it to the floor for a vote because Trump wanted to run on immigration as an issue. Being honest about an issue will allow others access to an informed decision.
