Hoffman Estates High School Performs ‘Big Fish’ March 12-15
The Hoffman Estates High School cast and crew have been working very hard to present this year’s musical: “Big Fish.” Dive into the extraordinary world of “Big Fish: The Musical,” a heartwarming tale of adventure, love, and the power of storytelling.
This show is a journey through the incredible life of Edward Bloom, a traveling salesman with a gift for telling fantastical stories. His son, Will, has always been enchanted by his father’s larger-than-life tales — filled with giants, witches, and daring adventures — but as he prepares to become a father himself, he is determined to separate fact from fiction. With a sweeping score, dazzling visuals, and a story that tugs at the heartstrings, “Big Fish” is a celebration of imagination, family, and the magic of a well-told story.
The cast of “Big Fish” has spent the last few months learning the ins and outs of their characters, and they are excited to use their special talents to perform the show this week.
“I’ve gotten so many new perspectives that I will continue to use going forward in my acting career,” Mason Wang (Edward Bloom) said, noting that this production has helped him grow as both an actor and a performer.
Stage Manager Air SanMiguel is excited to lead the crew in such a beautiful show.
“Seeing the effort everyone puts toward this production truly makes all the late nights worth it in the end,” she said.
