I am writing in support for Tom Schwingbeck as the next village president of Arlington Heights.

Tom’s decade of public service experience as village board trustee, Zoning Board of Appeals member and his many years of leadership with several community groups give Tom extensive knowledge of Arlington Heights, including living here 36 years. Tom Schwingbeck’s career experience as a successful businessman added to his public and community service make him well suited to lead Arlington Heights into the future.

I sat next to Tom for several years on the Zoning Board of Appeals and saw firsthand how well prepared he was and how he conducted himself in that role. Since Tom’s been a village trustee I’ve reached out to him for information, his opinion and assistance as a resident and taxpayer. He’s always been highly responsive and done his homework.

Trying to describe Tom Schwingbeck in a few words is not easy given his many qualities. Three that easily come to mind are integrity, highly intelligent and accountable. Added to that list, Tom Schwingbeck has the temperament, vision, leadership skills, passion and time to help make our great community even better.

Tom plans to commit full-time to the duties and responsibilities of the job. And, unlike others in the race he would not have the potential for ongoing conflicts of interest.
