Late night fire guts garage of Kildeer home, leaving it uninhabitable

A fire tore through the three-car garage of a Kildeer home late Wednesday, leaving the the house uninhabitable.

Lake Zurich Fire Protection District firefighters were dispatched to the single-family home on the 21000 block of Brandon Road just before 9:30 p.m. after receiving multiple 911 calls from neighbors.

No injuries were reported from the fire, which was largely contained to the garage, where officials believe it started.

It took nearly 30 minutes to extinguish the blaze.

A damage estimate wasn’t immediately available.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
