Clerk candidate makes things happen

I highly endorse Lisa Decatursmith for Barrington Township clerk. As a member of the Barrington Rotary Club, Lisa exemplifies Rotary’s Motto of “Service Above Self.” I’ve seen Lisa time after time giving her time and many skills (she’s an attorney) to help others. She knows how to run effective meetings and is excellent at documenting the results. You may have seen the article she wrote that appeared in Quintessential Barrington Magazine January 2025.

Lisa recently went to the World Peace Conference and the opening of Rotary’s 7th Peace Center in Istanbul Turkey. She is the Chair of our Rotary Peace Committee. She demonstrates exemplary leadership and is an excellent collaborator — working with others toward a common goal. Lisa has participated in a multitude of Barrington service projects, helping those less fortunate.

Lisa makes things happen. She pitches in, often volunteering to lead the charge, going beyond the call of duty. Recently Lisa helped coordinate the making and delivery of meals for a family in crisis.

Lisa makes things happen and wants to ensure that all voices are heard. She believes that local offices are critical in shaping the services and programs that we rely on daily; schools, libraries, roads and community support. It’s more important than ever to have strong leadership at the local level.

I know that as Barrington Township clerk, Lisa would do an exceptional job.
