Candidate running ‘for the right reasons’

Since the local trustee election of 2015, I have enjoyed a growing relationship and friendship with highly qualified candidate for village mayor, Tom Schwingbeck. Tom and I have spent many hours over the last decade discussing village issues and challenges.

Despite coming up short in that 2015 election, Tom continued to pursue his involvement with the village by applying for and being appointed to the Zoning Board of Appeals where he served for four years before being elected to his current position of village trustee.

Tom is highly intelligent and his approach to dealing with village issues is methodical and well-researched. He remains a respectful, modest leader and his personal commitment to better all elements of Arlington Heights is evident by his pledge to be a full-time mayor.

Tom is genuine, conscientious, sincere, humble and is pursuing the office of mayor for all the right reasons.

I wholeheartedly endorse Tom’s candidacy.
