Elgin church to host ‘Drive-Through Ashes’ on March 5

On Ash Wednesday, March 5, the Rev. Marion Phipps of St. Hugh of Lincoln Episcopal Church will once again offer drive through ashes in the church parking lot from 4:30 to 6 p.m.

This is an opportunity for commuters and those unable to attend a traditional Ash Wednesday service to begin their Lenten journey with the imposition of ashes and a blessing.

Indoor Ash Wednesday worship will be at noon and 7 p.m. St. Hugh is located on the southeast corner of Randall Road and Highland Avenue in Elgin. All are welcome. Visit www.sthugh.net.
