IDOT: Route 59 reopened between Route 22 and Cuba Road

The Illinois Department of Transportation announced Wednesday that Illinois Route 59 (Hough Road), between Illinois Route 22 and Cuba Road in North Barrington, is now open.

It had been closed due to a drainage issue that caused heavy icing on the road.

Shoulder work will continue over the next couple of days. The public should continue to watch for water on the pavement.
