Carpentersville firefighters keep vehicle fire from spreading to house

No injuries were reported from a vehicle fire inside the attached garage of Carpentersville house early Tuesday morning.

Firefighters were able to keep the blaze from spreading to the main residence of the home after they were called to the one-story, single-family house on the 100 block of Carpenter Boulevard just before 4 a.m.

Firefighters were able to help residents and a dog exit the house safely.

The residents were allowed to return to their home after the fire was extinguished and investigators cleared the scene.

Damage was estimated at $30,000.
