Maybe we should avoid red-state vacations

The Canadians have the right idea — canceling their vacation reservations to the U.S. as a protest against Donald Trump’s crazy tariffs.

All Americans who dislike the turmoil being caused by Trump and Elon Musk should follow suit — cancel all plans to vacation in any of the red states.

If you wish to go to a beach — instead of Florida, Texas, Alabama, Georgia, or the Carolinas — try California, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Massachusetts, or Hawaii. If you wish to go to the mountains — instead of West Virginia, Tennessee, Wyoming, or Montana — try California, Oregon, Washington, Colorado, New Mexico, or New York.

When the businesses in the red states realize how much money they are losing, maybe they’ll put pressure on their congressmen and senators to disown Donald Trump and maybe even vote to remove him from office. It would serve him right to be the first president to be convicted during an impeachment trial.
