Learn how Libertyville promotes water quality

Libertyville is hosting a public open house on Feb. 27 on efforts to promote water quality through its storm sewer program.

The meeting will run from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. in the village hall board room, 118 W. Cook Ave.

Engineering staff will be available to discuss the implementation of the Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) Program based on Illinois Environmental Protection Agency requirements to control and reduce pollution from stormwater runoff discharged through storm drains.

The public can provide feedback or learn ways to do their part to reduce pollution to the stormwater system.
