Lombard Brewery hosts its first Stupid Cupid Market Feb. 16
The Streetz Artz Alliance is bringing an eclectic mix of local artists and makers back to Noon Whistle Brewing in Lombard for a special Valentine’s season event: the Stupid Cupid Market.
This curated artisan market will take place Sunday, Feb. 16, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. inside the brewery’s event space, featuring over two dozen talented vendors showcasing their handmade products.
Curated by Paula Krizek of the Streetz Artz Alliance, the Stupid Cupid Market offers something for everyone, from woodworking, jewelry, and self-care items to apparel, giant cookies, pet treats, hot sauces, and unique oddities.
Unlike large-scale markets dominated by mass-produced goods, the Streetz Artz Alliance is dedicated to supporting independent small-business artists who create high-quality, one-of-a-kind pieces.
Regular attendees may recognize John Streetz, who typically curates Streetz Artz Alliance markets. However, for this event, he will be participating as an artist with his own business, Bead Streetz, offering perler bead artwork, potted plants that never die, and quirky keychains that make perfect gifts for your “stupid” Valentine.
This event is free to attend, family-friendly, and welcomes all attendees. Guests can sip craft beer while perusing the market, making for a relaxed and enjoyable shopping experience. Arrive early to enjoy brunch at Noon Whistle Brewing from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. before exploring the vendor booths. While the brewery is family-friendly, patrons should note that only service animals are permitted inside.
“I’m excited to run the show at the Lombard brewpub for the first time,” Krizek said. “As someone that doesn’t drink anymore, I’m thankful too the brewery has nonalcoholic options like soda, Pause CBD waters, and cranberry juice.”
Many vendors at the Stupid Cupid Market actively support charitable causes, reinforcing the market’s commitment to community impact.
Bosco’s All Natural Dog and Cat Treats contributes a portion of its sales to CFVC for Veterans, which funds food, wellness care, and service dog training.
