Unarmed man threatened to shoot Des Plaines officers, police say

An unarmed Chicago man was arrested over the weekend in Des Plaines after threatening to shoot police officers, authorities said in a news release.

Adis Ikanovic, 38, of the 6600 block of West Devon Avenue, was charged with misdemeanor aggravated assault.

The confrontation occurred about 5:10 p.m. Saturday in a restaurant on the 1500 block of South Lee Street. Ikanovic appeared intoxicated, police said.

Ikanovic was released following his arrest.
