One dead after Sunday afternoon shooting in Lake County

A 24-year-old Waukegan man is dead after a Sunday afternoon shooting in Beach Park.
Authorities from the Lake County sheriff’s office said the man, who is not being identified yet, was shot just after noon on the 39300 block of Melbourne Court and taken to a Waukegan hospital where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
Witnesses reported hearing shots fired and two men in their early 20s running from the scene.
Detectives found spent shell casings and glass from a car window at the scene.
