Rolling Meadows house deemed total loss after Thursday afternoon fire

A single-family house on the 3700 block of Bluebird Lane in Rolling Meadows was deemed a total loss after a Thursday afternoon fire.

Firefighters responded shortly after 2:10 p.m.

A resident and their pet were able to escape the home safely before firefighters arrived. No injuries were reported.

The cause remains under investigation.
