Candidate for mayor has integrity, experience
I have known Jim Tinaglia personally and professionally for 30 years.
Jim grew up in Arlington Heights, attended local schools and dreamed of someday serving his hometown. He went away to college and received his architectural degree but chose to come back to start a family and establish his business. His architectural firm is well respected, within and outside of our community. From the late 90s to present, Arlington Heights has been a forerunner in downtown redevelopment and Jim’s professional contributions are apparent in so many of our buildings. His business continues to be held in great esteem, along with his sought-after professional insights.
I personally got to know Jim first when we served together on a local bank board and later as Arlington Heights trustees for more than six years. Through both experiences, I found him to be a man of worth, integrity and vision.
When Jim first shared his long-held interest in serving as a village elected official, myself and other business and community leaders encouraged him to run and he won the election overwhelmingly. Jim has consistently shown himself to be highly regarded, clear in his vision and message and always working for the betterment of our community.
As we look toward electing a new mayor April 1, we need a proven local leader who embraces change, even when it’s difficult — someone who won’t walk away from challenges. We need someone who understands smaller, local issues often impact the big picture and who has the know-how to pivot direction when needed — all with integrity and respect. Jim is this person, and I am confident he is the right person to guide Arlington Heights in even more positive directions.
Jim Tinaglia will make an exceptional mayor for Arlington Heights. I am extremely proud to endorse his candidacy.
