Huntley’s Shepherd of the Prairie hosts new member event
Learn more about the life and ministry of Shepherd of the Prairie Lutheran Church. A “New Member Gathering” will be held from 3 to 5:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 16, at the church, 10805 Main St. in Huntley.
Prospective members, guests and visitors will have the opportunity to learn more about the life and ministry of the church, which is part of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, a community of faith that shares a passion for making positive changes in the world.
“If you have attended worship with us or joined us online and would like to know more about our community,” said Donna Kelly, director of connections ministry, “we welcome you to attend our new member gathering to consider becoming a formal member of our SOTP family.”
The church provides dynamic worship led by Senior Pastor Mark Boster and Pastor Ryan Mackey. It is filled with meaningful small groups and a strong commitment of service to others.
Worship services include:
• 5 p.m. Saturday service with Communion using familiar hymns;
• 9 a.m. Sunday traditional service with Communion using familiar hymns; including Livestream;
• 10:45 a.m. Sunday service with Communion using contemporary music, language and multimedia; including Livestream.
