What was missing from editorial on nurses
Good discussion on the key role that nurses play in helping patients heal. The reality that was not discussed was that nurses are in short supply, they do 12 hour shifts that are exhausting and have too many patient beds to manage.
Burnout is occurring, and we are importing less-qualified nurses from other countries to fill positions. We have lost nurses to the COVID crisis and have fired nurses who refused the RNA injections because of their well-founded beliefs.
There should be a follow-up article asking our academic community why they are not boosting the enrollment for nursing degrees.
Twice I was hospitalized in 2024 and saw the quality of nursing is slipping because we are not addressing the root cause.
Let’s get out of the political mode and start informing your readers what reality is.
