Former Senate president’s two losses

An open letter to Mitch McConnell:

I see that last week you finally cast a vote where you put your country before your party. You voted against Trump and his fully unqualified pick to lead the Defense Department.

I am sorry, but while I agree with your vote, you get no credit, as you are more than a day late and a dollar short when it comes to putting country over party.

Following Jan. 6, after you went on to the Senate floor and clearly put the full responibilty for the Capitol riot at the feet of Trump, you then went out to block the impeachment of Trump, when you could have simply allowed those of your party who still had a conscious to vote against him. You didn’t even have the moral integrity to vote against him yourself.

Because of this, you have lost the soul of your party to these extremists who are now fully in control of your party and our country.

You had the choice to save your country or your party and chose your party and now you have lost both.
