Heart health awareness & screening event in Bartlett Saturday

Ascension St. Alexius and Hanover Township, in partnership with state Sen. Cristina Castro, will host a heart health awareness & screening event on Saturday, Feb. 8.

The event will take place from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Hanover Township Senior Center, 240 Route 59 in Bartlett.

Throughout the month, Ascension St. Alexius is partnering with local community organizations to raise awareness about heart health. Saturday’s event will feature health screenings and health education including blood pressure, stroke risk awareness, diabetes risk awareness, body composition analysis, diet and nutrition education.

Invasive screenings including glucose and total cholesterol testing will require an appointment and can be scheduled by calling (630) 483-5665. All other walk-in participants are welcome to attend.
