CASA Kane County recently appointed Carol Goewey and Denise Kruckenberg to its board of directors. Their wealth of expertise and commitment to community service will significantly contribute to CASA Kane County’s mission of advocating for children who have experienced abuse and neglect.

Carol Goewey brings an extensive background in sales leadership within the health care and biotechnology sectors. Denise Kruckenberg is a new member of the CASA Kane County board.

Currently serving as the Dean of Health Professions at Elgin Community College, Denise has dedicated her career to advancing student success and workforce development. Her experience in higher education, strategic planning, and program evaluation positions her as a strong advocate for CASA Kane County’s mission. Denise’s leadership will play a key role in expanding partnerships and enhancing support services for the children and families the organization serves.

“We are thrilled to welcome Carol and Denise to our Board of Directors,” said Jim Di Ciaula, Executive Director of CASA Kane County. “Their leadership, passion, and expertise will be instrumental in advancing our advocacy efforts and ensuring that every child in our community has a voice.”

The addition of Carol Goewey and Denise Kruckenberg to the board strengthens the organization’s ability to make a lasting impact in the lives of vulnerable children. We celebrate Carol and Denise for their dedication and vision, knowing that their leadership will inspire positive change and strengthen our mission.

CASA Kane County is a nonprofit, volunteer-driven organization, dedicated to advocating for children who have experienced abuse or neglect and are subsequently placed in foster care. We recruit, train, and supervise volunteers who serve as the child's voice and the judge's eyes and ears throughout the duration of their case in juvenile court. Our vision is for every child entering foster care in Kane County to be placed in a safe, nurturing, and permanent home. We envision that all children will be equipped with the tools, resources, and support to thrive, lead fulfilled and happy lives and reduce the likelihood of repeating the cycle of abuse.
