Arts deserve support

The week of Jan. 13, the Daily Herald published an article detailing all the good work the St. Charles Arts Council is undertaking. Prominent in the piece was how the city administration supports the council in its efforts.

What a contrast when compared to its sister city, Geneva, where Mayor Burns and the current administration have stripped the city of its Cultural Arts Commission.

I hope the good citizens of Geneva remember that strange and insupportable action when the mayoral election takes place this spring.
