Lake Zurich High School Theatre Department performs “Romeo and Juliet”

This February, “Romeo and Juliet” will be performed by the Lake Zurich High School Theatre Department.

The story follows the life of two young people from feuding families that — despite all odds — fall deeply in love with each other. Their passionate yearning for one another is destroyed by their families’ disputes and hatred for one another.

This Shakespearean tragedy has important messages of true love, fate, death, and destiny. Directed by Tom Skobel and performed by Lake Zurich High School students, the play’s touching narrative of true love despite challenges is a cautionary tale of love and loss.

Tickets can be purchased at lz95.org/pac. Tickets cost $12 for adults and $10 for students and seniors. Performances will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 7; and 2 and 7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 8, at the Lake Zurich Performing Arts Center, 300 Church St., Lake Zurich.
