Gary UMC in Wheaton starts intercessory prayer group

You are invited to join this ministry focused on offering intercessory prayers for the most pressing issues in the world today.

At 10:15 a.m. on the second Sunday of every month, the chapel of Gary United Methodist Church in Wheaton will be filled with prayers. The intercessory prayer group will pray for global, national and personal needs. The next session is Sunday, Feb. 9 at 10:15 a.m.

The church at 224 N. Main St. has celebrated deep roots in the community since 1853. The church has music, kids, youth and adult ministries, plus opportunities for local, national and global missions. The church offers worship at 9 and 11:11 a.m. In-between services, there’s Sunday school for all ages, a coffee fellowship hour, plus the chapel is available for prayer and reflection.
