Lake County Board of Health names new executive director
Christopher Hoff recently was named executive director of the Lake County Health Department and Community Health Center effective March 10.
Hoff is deputy director of public health for the DuPage County Health Department where he worked for 10 years. He is known regionally for work to strengthen community relations overseeing new initiatives and addressing priority health issues, according to T.E. Sashko, Lake County Board of Health president.
In DuPage County, Hoff led large community coalition efforts, oversaw core public health functions and coordinated multiple public health emergency responses, according to the announcement of his hiring.
He succeeds Mark Pfister who led the agency for more than eight years until retiring last August.
