Cafes, bakeries selected for 2024 Made in St. Charles program

Four businesses will be presented awards Tuesday, Jan. 21, as part of the 2024 Made in St. Charles program.

Arcedium Coffeehouse, Brown Butter Café & Bakery, Dear Donuts and Kimmer’s Ice Cream will be recognized at the St. Charles City Council meeting.

The St. Charles Business Alliance’s Business Development and Sales Committee picked the winners who were highlighted on social media during the week of Jan. 13.

The Made in St. Charles program, launched in 2022 to highlight local businesses and their innovative products, focused on bakeries and cafés for the 2024 edition.

“Since there were many nominations for cafés and sweets businesses, they decided to hit the sweet spot and make that the theme for (last) year’s Made in St. Charles selections,” said Jenna Sawicki, executive director of the St. Charles Business Alliance. “We can’t wait to see what is in store for the program in 2025.”
