Stephens named to leadership post in state House

State Rep. Brad Stephens, a Republican from Rosemont, has been appointed assistant house Republican leader for the 104th General Assembly.

Stephens represents the 20th House District, which includes the Northwest side of Chicago and parts of suburban Cook County.

“We will urge our friends across the aisle to support our ideas that will help grow the economy, create jobs for working families, fight skyrocketing property taxes, and urge support for law enforcement while combating the ongoing crime issues impacting our families and local businesses,” Stephens said in an announcement of his appointment.

Stephens, who also serves as Rosemont’s mayor, was elected to the state House in 2019 and also served as assistant minority leader in the 103rd General Assembly.
