Sign up for suburban public safety alerts

Residents of 13 communities in the Northwest suburbs can sign up to receive alerts about local public safety emergencies.

The service is offered by the Northwest Central Joint Emergency Management System and the Northwest Central Dispatch System. It’s open to residents of Arlington Heights, Barrington, Buffalo Grove, Elk Grove Village, Hoffman Estates, Inverness, Mount Prospect, Palatine, Prospect Heights, Rolling Meadows, Schaumburg, Streamwood and Wheeling.
