St. Charles Arts Council moving into a space of its own

St. Charles Arts Council will move into its first brick-and-mortar location next month to provide room for expanding services and hosting events.

On Feb. 1, the council will move to121 N. Second St., Suite H, in downtown St. Charles. The council previously had operated without a physical office or gallery space.

“Having a physical space for the Arts Council has been on our radar for years,” Executive Director Kathryn Hill said in a news release. “Our programming will expand exponentially this year, as we now have space for workshops, gallery exhibits and artist talks."

The St. Charles Arts Council will host a grand opening from noon to 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 23, for the public to see the new space and celebrate the milestone with the council. There also will be a display of work by art council members.
