Man gets 13 years for sex assaulting woman after giving her cocaine

An Aurora man has been sentenced to 13 years in prison for criminal sexual assault. Kane County Judge Bianca Camargo sentenced Ricardo Lemos, 42, on Monday. A jury convicted him Oct. 24. Lemos gave cocaine to the victim, a person he knew, on July 2, 2022. He then sexually assaulted her at a time when she was unable to consent, according to prosecutors. He must serve at least 85% of the sentence before he is eligible for parole and will be required to register as a sex offender for life. He received credit for the 1½ years he has spent in custody awaiting trial and sentencing.
