District 214 Community Education’s The Theater Lab Announces Cast for Neil Simon’s “Fools”
The Theater Lab has announced the opening production of its 2024-25 season, the rarely produced “Fools” by Neil Simon. The production will be a limited four-performance run, Jan. 24-26, at Forest View Educational Center Theater in Arlington Heights.
“Fools” by Neil Simon is the comic tale of an enthusiastic young schoolteacher who seeks to cure the village of Kulyenchikov from the 200-year-old curse of acting like fools.
Performances are at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 24; 3 and 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 25; and 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 26, and will take place at the Forest View Educational Center Theater, 2121 South Goebbert Road, Arlington Heights.
The cast of “Fools” features Arthur Bloch (Magistrate), Karen Ann Cullotta (Slovitch, performing Jan. 24 and 26), Allison Fradkin (Leona Tolchinski), Keri Graham (Something Something Snetsky), Nigel Grinter (Gregor Yousekevitch, performing Jan. 24 and 26), Egor J. Gribbet (Mishkin), Sann Knipple (Slovitch, performing Jan. 25), Nancy Morrison (Lenya Zubritski), Don Olson (Gregor Yousekevitch, performing Jan. 25), Patricia Tinsley (Yenchna), Lane Wheeler (Dr. Zubritski), and Kaylee Williams (Sophia Zubritski).
The creative team includes John Meyers (artistic and production director); Patrick Zielinski (producer); Chris Good (production and stage manager); Teresa J. Arnold (marketing director); Sarah Jane “SJ” Heyman (marketing assistant); Nancy Morrison, Sann Knipple and Teresa J. Arnold (properties managers); Michael Incardone (sound designer); Emerson Ford (costume assistant); and Nicholas Wroblewski (lighting assistant).

When purchased in advance, general admission tickets are $22 for adults, $20 for seniors, and $16 for students. Purchased at the door, general admission tickets are $24 for adults, $22 for seniors, and $18 for students. District 214 Gold Card Members receive 15% off ($17).
