Waukegan police seek help finding vehicle involved in fatal hit-and-run
Waukegan police are asking for help finding a vehicle involved in a fatal hit-and-run crash last Saturday near Route 41 and Northpoint Boulevard.
Police responding about 6:35 p.m. found a 60-year old man in the roadway with severe injuries. The man, who has not been identified, was pronounced dead on the scene.
The vehicle involved in the crash fled before police arrived, but significant debris was left behind, authorities said.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Waukegan police traffic division, (847) 599-2567. Anonymous tips can be sent by texting 847411 using the key word WPDTIP, which can be found on Apple App and Google Play stores or accessed on the city’s website.
