Cocoa Crawl to sweeten up Long Grove Feb. 8

Get ready to indulge in a cocoa-filled winter adventure in one of the Midwest’s most charming small towns. From noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 8, Long Grove will transform into a magical “Cocoa Town” for the eighth annual Cocoa Crawl. The beloved event invites cocoa lovers of all ages to sip complimentary hot cocoa at outdoor cocoa tents while strolling through the picturesque streets of the historic village. Guests can either explore on foot or hop aboard a free, horse-drawn trolley ride for an extra dose of whimsy.

The Cocoa Crawl promises an afternoon of sweet surprises, with participating shops and boutiques offering a variety of cocoa-inspired treats and exclusive cocoa-themed merchandise. Whether it’s sipping decadent hot chocolate, sampling creative cocoa concoctions, or browsing unique items, visitors will find something delightful at every stop. Long Grove’s local restaurants and cafés will also be getting into the cocoa spirit, offering cocoa-infused dishes and drinks throughout the day and into the evening, ensuring there’s something for everyone’s taste buds.

This family-friendly event showcases what makes Long Grove such a beloved destination: its historic charm, its warm community spirit, and the joy of celebrating simple pleasures, like a good cup of cocoa. Visitors are encouraged to start their Cocoa Crawl at the Historic Downtown Long Grove Business Association Hot Cocoa Tent located next to 430 Robert Parker Coffin Road, where they can pick up a map of participating merchants and locations (also available online). From there, they can explore the village at their leisure, sampling different hot cocoa recipes along the way at five Hot Cocoa Tents throughout town while discovering new, exciting stops at their own pace. And for those who want to make the experience even more magical, the complimentary horse-drawn trolley will be offering rides throughout the event, adding a nostalgic touch to the day.

To make the day even sweeter, Cocoa Crawlers who spend at least $100 at participating locations on Feb. 8 will receive an exclusive Cocoa Crawl mug from the Long Grove Visitor’s Center as a token of appreciation for their support of local businesses.
