Des Plaines’ newest snow plow gets a name

Des Plaines’ newest snow plow has a pun-tastic name, officials have announced.

The orange truck, part of the Public Works and Engineering Department fleet, has been dubbed “Clearopatha.” It was inspired by the ancient queen of Egypt, Cleopatra.

City residents suggested names for the rig.

Clearopatha will join Harry Plowter and Snowy McPlowface on Des Plaines’ roads this season.
