Des Plaines charitable group needs canned goods, pasta sauce

The Self-Help Closet & Pantry of Des Plaines needs canned fruit, canned beef stew and canned pasta dishes like ravioli for its clients, the group announced Thursday on social media.

Jars of pasta sauce also are needed.

The nonprofit group is at 769 Holiday Lane. Goods can be donated on Mondays and Tuesdays between 9 a.m. and noon and on Saturdays from 8:30 to 10 a.m. at the gray side door facing Holiday Lane.
