The left’s hypocrisy on Matt Gaetz

I find the hypocrisy of the far left’s representatives appalling.

The fact that a fund exists that allows congressmen to settle sexual harassment and other claims is evidence enough. With as loud a voice that Matt Gaetz has confronted various political opponents with, if they had any real evidence other than accusations, they wouldn’t have hesitated to charge him to shut him up. But when they don’t they fall back on the extreme left-wing socialists’ favored tool of the smear campaign.

So now we learn Rep. Gaetz has had some good times behaving almost like a Ted Kennedy-styled character. But the investigation shows that they didn’t have enough to actually charge him, hence the politics of personal destruction that the far left so roundly criticize yet love to use.

In the article in the Daily Herald on Dec. 24, Congressman Sean Casten is quoted saying, “Ethics really, matters “ and further, “It really matters in all walks of life and it especially matters in Congress.”

If this is true, I would expect Sean Casten to be signing on in support of HR 4494, a bill to prohibit the use of public funds to pay awards and settlements in connection with claims arising from sexual harassment and other accusations. But I’m not holding my breath.
