Generosity appreciated

I want to take a moment to shine a light on an extraordinary individual in the Wheaton community, Warren Hunter, the owner of South Main Marathon Service Station at the corner of Main Street and E. Illinois Street.

At first glance, Warren may appear to be just a hardworking mechanic with his tall, broad-shouldered presence. However, anyone who has spent time with him knows that beneath that exterior lies the heart of a compassionate gentle giant.

During October and November of 2024, Warren graciously donated $. 05 for every dollar of gas pumped to Teen Mother Choices International (TMCI). Just last week, he presented TMCI with a remarkable check for $5,000! This generous act was not just about supporting any charity; it was about choosing an organization dedicated to helping young mothers between the ages of 13 and 23 transition from uncertainty to empowerment — a cause close to his heart as both a father and grandfather.

To Warren Hunter and South Main Marathon Service Station, thank you for your compassion and generosity. Your commitment to making a difference is truly inspiring. And to the Wheaton community — please celebrate the caring businesses like Warren’s that enrich your community.
